With Easter right around the corner, we’re sure everyone is thinking about doing some of their favorite Easter activities. One of those activities might be dying Easter eggs (we like to think you can never be too old for this). But why stick to the normal dyed egg when you can step out of the box and bring a little sparkle to a pastel day? This no dye trick to decorating eggs is sure to make your Easter decor brighter than ever! Before you get started, you will need to prep the egg by hard boiling or by blowing out the inside of the egg. If you don’t know how to blow out an egg, follow these easy steps here: Blowing Out Eggs.
What you’ll need:
- GLITTER: You can use any color
- White glue (or Modge Podge)
- Toothpicks
- Tape
- Small Bowl
- Poking Device
- Eggs
Steps:
- Put white glue or Mod Podge into a small bowl: thin glue out with some water if desired.
- Dip eggs into the mixture and blot excess drips.
- Sprinkle with glitter.
- Place eggs on a toothpick pushed into Styrofoam to dry.
For designs you can use different techniques, for example:
Polka Dots: dab the tip of your finger into the glue and dot onto the egg, cover with glitter and shake off the excess.
Stripes: use 2 pieces of tape around the egg to make a straight line between- apply glue and glitter; remove the tape before the glue dries.
