Jacqueline’s greatest influence and inspiration comes from her parents who are florist and owners of Flowers by Starks in Florence, SC. Jacqueline worked with them throughout the years in coordinating and designing many events.
In college Jacqueline used her coordination skills organizing a law firm’s fundraising and promotional events. After graduating with a B.A. in Communications, Jacqueline and her husband moved to her dream city, Charleston, SC.
Jacqueline’s love for the South combined with each client’s individual style is always a recipe to create a unique event that your guests will not forget!

Meredith Tanton was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her passion for events and entertaining has been something that was evident ever since she was a child, and her knack for event coordination became obvious through out her high school and college years. From non-profit and corporate events to weddings, Meredith has experience in a wide variety of event preparation. She particulary specializes in event logistics and coordination.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications from Elon University. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina to make her dreams of becoming an event planner come true. Before co-founding Sweetgrass Social, she worked as an event assistant to Marlene Hager of Marlene Hager Events in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. During her time as an assistant, she learned what goes into making an event truly stand out. Meredith makes it her personal goal to make her clients’ vision of their event become a reality.
